Information Systems Technology

What does an information systems professional do?

Computer service professionals support the rapidly changing ways people and businesses communicate. Our students learn to install, configure and support local area networks as well as wide area networks. Students also learn to monitor the network to ensure availability, security and website performance. The world relies on computers and it is up to service professionals to keep them working.

The Information Systems Technology program offers hands-on instruction in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer, data, and telecommunications systems. Students will develop practical skills relevant to today’s IT support professionals. This program maintains registered partnerships with the Cisco Networking, CompTIA, Microsoft, and Red Hat academies.

Upon successful completion, you will earn a 48-credit-hour technical certificate and be eligible to complete an associate degree or more advanced degrees at . Evening classes also are available.

CERTIFICATIONS: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Administering Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
